Gathering at Flat Rock on Sunday 11-1. Bring some lunch and we'll light a fire and supply tea and coffee. Best to park at the end of GIC road so we dont get clogged up with cars down at the campground Quite a few members of Friends of Garden Island Creek are interested in seeing us meet at Flat Rock more often and use that gorgeous space. There's interest in walking some of the trails and maybe defining them a bit better. There's interest in maintaining the campground which I'm told has taken a bit of a beating from cars lately. We are becoming a waterwatch group and conducting regular water bug and water quality monitoring and have borrowed all the necessary equipment to get started. This is a great activity for kids.
